Springer, Lodge relay champs

For the first time in its history, the Barbados Relay Fair was staged on the grounds of the historic Kensington Oval yesterday.
And with the event set to return to the National Stadium next year, Springer Memorial and The Lodge School will hold the distinction of being the champions when it was run off on grass.
Springer Memorial successfully defended their title with 78 points while
The Lodge were runaway victors with 91 points.
The atmosphere lacked the excitement associated with the National Stadium as spectators were spread out across the Greenidge & Haynes Stand. The crowd also wasn’t as large, but those who were present had just as much fun cheering their favourite athletes and school teams.
