Customer ease

AT A TIME when both of them are faced with customers finding it difficult to meet their financial commitments, the Insurance Corporation of Barbados Limited (ICBL) and Cave Shepherd Card Services have formed a new partnership to help ease the burden.
Barbadians with motor and house and contents insurance at ICBL will benefit from discounts of 12.5 per cent for each category, and those combining coverage for their vehicle and home will get a 15 per cent discount once their premiums are paid using their Cave Shepherd Card. The specially discounted packages also allow policyholders to make their payments over an eight-month period.
The arrangement was announced this morning during an official launch at ICBL’s headquarters in Roebuck Street, The City.
“As responsible corporate citizens it is especially important for us to find ways to assist customers wherever possible during this period. This was what drove the process when we sat down to develop the special packages,” ICBL chief executive officer Ingrid Innes said.
Cave Shepherd’s director of card services Alison Browne-Ellis said the aim of the partnership was to “develop insurance packages that reflect our understanding of the current needs of our cardholders, while providing a payment solution that offers a flexible credit facility, giving a level of comfort in these challenging economic times”.
