No bashing!

THE DAYS OF calypsonians bashing each other in song may be numbered.Following the lashes thrown at the MQI/Banks/LIME Pic-O-De-Crop Finals at Kensington Oval last Saturday, Minister of Culture Stephen Lashley has indicated that he will be taking steps to ensure there is no repeat of what he heard at the Finals.While acknowledging the anticipation of using picong to “poke a little fun at your competitor”, Lashley said some of the artistes went “beyond the line”.“Of course there is always the avenue of using the rules by the National Cultural Foundation to ensure that this does not recur.
