THE ROAD AT White Hill, St Andrew is being called a death trap after a Sanitation Service Authority (SSA) crew came within feet of a possible tragedy yesterday.

And while Anderson Jordan and his two loaders were thankful to have escaped the harrowing event without injuries, residents of the community were livid over what they deemed as a slapdash creation of a marl track.

Standing a few feet from the wrecker attempting to retrieve the stuck vehicle, a shocked Jordan said he had been driving the truck when it stopped.

“We leave here and on our way down . . . I don’t know what happened,” he said. “I just feel the truck come to a halt. I couldn’t even get out.”
