LOUD SCREAMS RANG out in Bath Land, St John just before 3 p.m. yesterday, but it was not elation over a Christmas present.

They were the gut-wrenching wails of Sandra Ifill-Parris after viewing the partially decomposed body of her 48-year-old husband Richard, with whom she lived at Ayshford, St Thomas. Parris, who was reported missing late last week, was last seen by his mother, Violet, on Wednesday when he visited her Whitehall, St Michael home.

Ifill-Parris, who said she searched every door and window in hopes of finding her husband and had made a call in Friday’s WEEKEND NATION for him to answer his phone and come home, made two attempts before she finally got close enough to the white Toyota, which was parked on top of the cliff, to identify the body. Her first attempt was earlier aborted because she was too overcome with grief. (YB)
