They ended Round 2 on 17 points after overpowering People's Cathedral "B" 10-0 at the St Leonard's Boys' School last weekend.

People's Cathedral "A" hammered Christ Church Boys' "B" 9-0 to put themselves a mere point behind the leaders. St Gabriel's School, who defeated St Cyprian's "A" 6-0, climbed into third spot.

In the Secondary Schools section, Lodge "A" continued to dominate proceedings in theUnder-13 section. They overpowered Lodge "B" 8-2 and moved to 18 points, two points short of a perfect score.

Three points behind were Coleridge and Parry who blanked St Leonard's Boys' 10-0. In third place on ten points are Queen's College who defeated Lodge "C" 6-4.

In the Under-15 section Lester Vaughan "A" top the standings on 17 points after dispatching Coleridge and Parry 9-0.

Trailing them by one point were last year's second runners-up Lodge "A" who edged Alleyne School 6-4.

This was one of a rash of 6-4 results, as teams continued to show they are fairly evenly matched.

The other 6-4 winners were Louis Lynch (over St Leonard's Boys'), Combermere (over Lodge "C") and Coleridge and Parry (over Lodge "B").

In the heavyweight section (Under-20), defending champions Lodge "A", who boast some of the island's top junior players, took no prisoners as they ousted Lester Vaughan 10-0, moving their tally to 17 points.

Queen's College kept abreast of the leaders by defeating Combermere 6-4 and bringing their scoreto 16 points.

Lodge "B" recovered from their first round defeat at the handsof Lodge "A" by beating Alleyne School 8-2.

In other matches the Garrison School trounced Lodge "C" 9-0, while Coleridge Parry got the bye.

Round 3 starts tomorrow at 9 a.m., and captains are reminded that any changes to their board order must be done one hour before the start of that round. (PR)
