Strict rules would be applied, Chief Education Officer Wendy Griffith-Watson said yesterday at a Press conference to announce the results of this year's Common Entrance Examination.
"There will be no reallocations except there is a serious emergency which has changed the situation for a particular student. Persons need not apply," she said.
Griffith-Watson pointed out this was stated in the booklet parents would have received ahead of the May 15 exam.
She said the move was due partly to the fact that there was not "enough room for reconsidering" given the "redistribution" of the 215 first and second formers from Louis Lynch School in April to the other 22 secondary schools.
The ministry has not yet finalised plans for the third and fourth formers of that school. (DS)
