WHISKEY CAPS THE CHASE. Rickey Walcott capping a brilliant ride on Whiskey For Me by storming past the pace-setting duo of Atul (Andy Ward) and Who's Wavering in the homestretch to win the Sandy Lane Barbados Gold Cup relatively easily, yesterday. Trainer Liz Deane, who saddled Whiskey For Me and Who's Wavering to finish first and second in the 1 800 metres event, hugged the Walcott brothers, Rickey and Rico after the two siblings brought home the bacon for her in the day's feature race. It was the first time in Gold Cup history that two brothers finished one-two, and the first time a woman has trained the winner of the race. (Pictures by Charles Pitt-Grant.)
