Minding my own business
Published on: 8/9/07.

I AM MINDING my business but I would like to know why the Barbados Workers Union (BWU) is so concerned about who purchases BS&T shares? I am still minding my business, but shouldn't it be spending more time in trying to provide adequate housing at Mangrove for the lower income membersof the BWU?

I would like to suggest that the lots of Mangrove should be sold to the lower income members of the BWU at a price not higher than $7.50 a square foot.

I would also like to suggest to the executive council to enter into discussions with the National Housing Corporation which can provide adequate housing solutions for the lower income project at Mangrove, which also include loans from the General Workers Loan Scheme.

It is clear the previous arrangements with contractors to provide housing solutions have not been successful.
