It is with utter amazement and incredibility that I, along with numerous members of the Barbadian public, have watched how the words and antics of a pastor in a church once attended by a Democratic presidential hopeful in the United States presidential race, are being played up and used by the powerful television giants, such as CNN and Fox News, to the detriment of that presidential aspirant.
Catching at straws
It is perhaps perhaps understandable that the side which sees itself losing in the race for the White House, will catch at any straws in its effort to keep (maintain its place?) in that race.
But can the American public be so naïve as to allow such triviality to weigh in alongside the many serious issues facing the United Statestoday, and to be used in deciding on a suitable presidential candidate?
And can the United States television giants find nothing more meaningful and instructive to focus on at this time? Their recent programming makes us feel that your CBC is way ahead of them in several respects.
