A senior manager apologised for the lack of appropriate signs and said the company was committed to doing safe work.
The manager said four affected drivers had contacted the company directly, and it was prepared to compensate legitimate claims.
He explained that certain roadwork was left undone Monday because the company faced a problem with the timely delivery of asphalt.
The company which was contracted to reinstate tracks for the Barbados Water Authority, completed the job on Tuesday.
At least 14 motorists complained of damaged tyres and in one case, a power steering pump was damaged.
One affected driver told the DAILY NATION the group had called in the police and was preparing a joint statement to be submitted to the Ministry of Public Woks and Transport.
The driver complained that there were no warning signs, cones or drums to alert drivers to the roadworks. (YB)
