Minister of Transport and Works John Boyce said Government would be moving ahead with a study of the transport sector and a symposium would be held very soon, in an effort to get the views of all the stakeholders.
Just last Sunday on Starcom Network's radio programme Down To Brasstacks the recent traffic changes in Wildey came under scrutiny when the Barbados Association of Professional Engineers (BAPE) called for a National Traffic Management Plan.
The discussion on the programme, led by moderator Peter Wickham, gave callers a chance to pose several questions and air their concerns on how the changes were affecting them.
Nearly two weeks ago, the road between Shell and Texaco Wildey was converted to a one-way street in the direction of Bridgetown, while the Wildey to BET stretch also became a one-way road.
Boyce said in the meantime, the Transport Board had been mandated to look into routing/ implementation of a pilot park and ride system and he expected to see the results of this investigation in a little while. (CT)
