GIFT FOR A KING. Calypso monarch Adrian AC Clarke received a special gift yesterday from Cave Shepherd for his top performance in the Cable & Wireless/First Caribbean International Bank Pic-O-De-Crop 2008 Finals. Elated by AC's win, the company that has sponsored his tent for 15 years invited him to its main store on Broad Street to receive an envelope. The company's corporate communications manager Hugh Durant made the presentation which was witnessed by Cave Shepherd Allstars tentmates Ronnie De Announcer Clarke, who placed fifth in the Pic-O-De-Crop Finals; Miguel, who placed seventh in the Party Monarch Finals; Myles Z, who won Junior Monarch; and a very happy tent manager Eleanor Rice-Watkins. In receiving the envelope, AC thanked the company and fans for their support. He then sang his popular Put That In Yuh Song for shoppers.
