The three, Allan Rajindra Sookhai, 40, of No. 24 Reliance, Essequibo Coast, Guyana; Cedric Augustus Melville, 32, of No. 79 Rob Street, Bourda, Georgetown; and Carlisle Parris, 34, of Bournes Land, Silver Sands, Christ Church, were not required to plead to the charges and return to court on April 21.
They are jointly charged with having 27 kilos of cocaine, trafficking and having the drug with intent to supply last Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Sookhai and Melville are facing additional charges for entering Barbados other than at a port of entry, and disembarking without the consent of an immigration officer also on the same day.
Police are alleging that the three were held by Drug Squad officers at Long Beach, Christ Church, after they were discovered with more than 55 pounds of cocaine in their car. (JR-B)
