This is exactly what customers get after hours
of pampering by nail technician Roxanne Greenidge in her RJ's Nail Studio
at Rockhampton Road
in Jackson, St Michael.
The 30-year-old mother of two took a three-month nail technician course in New York and in 1999 she began to make a name for herself as one of the most sought-after nail technicians in the island.
Her breathtaking acrylic, airbrushed, French manicure nail art, and other designs inspired by her love for art, are shown off by many proud women from all walks of life in offices, boutiques or on the street.
A household name in the densely populated St Michael district, Greenidge perfected her art during a six-month stint with a City beauty salon.
So successful was her work in the salon that she decided to move the business to her home and build up her clientele. According to Greenidge, that move paid off.
"Business is great; most
of my clients are usually
walk-ins and I find that
I get more people that way,"
she told BARBADOS BUSINESS AUTHORITY on Tuesday.
Griffith hopes to build her own
nail studio and teach others the art.
She advised those wanting
to step into the demanding world of entrepreneurship that, "Sometimes it would seem hard as you start off, but stick in there and it would work out.
"Once it is something that you love you are going to get it done, don't care how hard it seems."
