Three new directors to join Invest Barbados

WHEN INVEST BARBADOS (IB) meets at the Barbados Hilton for three days this week, starting Wednesday, there will be three new Divisional Directors on the team mandated to chart a new direction in the promotion of investment in and for Barbados.

Joining the current director, investor relations officer Emeline Taitt are three new divisional directors who will lead the Indigenous Services Exports, Value Proposition Development (Research), and Global Investment Promotion divisions. Respectively, they are Tonika Sealy, Chantal Ononaiwu, and Alex Jordan.

Sealy, Invest Barbados' new director of Indigenous Services Exports, brings a range of regional and international exposure to the position, having worked most recently as the technical advisor for new sectors for the Caribbean Export Development Agency's ninth EDF Caribbean Regional Trade and Private Sector Development Programme.

Invest Barbados' new divisional director for Value Proposition (Research) Development, Chantal Ononaiwu is an attorney. She is a Jamaican Rhodes Scholar who is currently reading for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in law at the University of Oxford.

Jordan, the new director of Global Investment Promotion, is a music industry specialist with very strong marketing and promotional skills. Her most recent stint was in the London office of the co-president of Polydor Records, Universal Music Group, where she was responsible for assessing the global music industry and developing techniques to counteract changing business models.
