Collymore, who is the clinical risk officer of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH), received the two-part award from the ACF in 2007 and completed both parts of that course.
She said the course exposed her to two modules, Principles Into Practice and Implementation.
"The module Principles Into Practice focused on patient safety in context, patient safety and health policy, and regulating risk to clinical risk management, managing clinical risk and developing a patient safety and risk management strategy, managing and learning from complaints," she said.
"The module Implementation focused on action research and improving patient safety and clinical risk management. I found the course very interesting and informative and it has contributed greatly to my development in my job," she said.
She also thanked the Cato Foundation for its contribution to her education and the enhancement of her skills.
Sir Carlisle Burton, the ACF's chairman, in congratulating Collymore on her success, said the post of risk manager at the QEH was a new and important one and the ACF was very pleased that it could strengthen the skills of the person holding that post. (RG/PR)
