PORT-OF-SPAIN – Former journalist Clyde Coward was found dead at his home Saturday.

Coward, 67, was found in his apartment at Sunset Cove, La Romaine, around 1 p.m., after he succumbed to a heart attack, police said.

The gardener for the area said he got an unpleasant smell from the apartment early Saturday. He said he notified the landlord Vishnu Jaimungal who peeped through the window into Coward's bedroom and saw him lying on the bed.
