Barbadian Olympic qualifier Andrew Hinds wrapped up a very successful series in Brazil, finishing second in the final of the men's marquee event on Sunday in Rio de Janeiro.

The 24-year-old, who is based in Jamaica with MVP, the home of world record holder Asafa Powell, has started to come into the potential he showed as one of the island's fastest juvenile athletes.

Hinds won both of the previous races on the tour in 10.16 seconds, one of them wind-aided, as he continues preparation towards the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympic Games.

Hinds didn't compete in the 200 metres which was won by Brazilian Sandro Vianna in 20.55 seconds, followed by American Greg Nixon in 20.76 and Jamaica's Ricardo Williams in 20.85.
