Fire guts pre-school

NO CLASSES were held at the SDS Learning Centre in 10th Avenue, Belleville, St Michael, yesterday, after a fire of unknown origin gutted a section of the pre-school establishment in the wee hours of the morning.

Two fire tenders, one from the Barbados Fire Service's headquarters at Probyn Street, and another from Worthing, Christ Church, under the command of Deputy Fire Chief Anthony Blackman, responded to the fire just after 2 a.m.

More than a dozen children are educated at the Centre. (BA)
