Equipment brought in from the UK will later serve the ICC CWC 2007. Holder's House will be transformed into a replica of the exclusive Tramps night-club in the UK.
At on-site Press conference at Holder's House, where Greg Mawson of entertainment company T7, said that two Barbadian charities, the Barbados Children's Trust and the Errol and Nita Barrow Educational Trust, as beneficiaries of the ball.
"We want to have an intimate atmosphere, and we want to trigger people's curiosity. This event is about raising the profile of Barbados," said.
Mawson, acknowledged corporate support for the event. Event director Chris Williams foresees vast changes on the site during the event. Comfort and luxury will be greatly enhanced.
Entertainment will be provided by UK stars Craig David, Bryan Ferry and DJ Sam Young.
Senator Rudy Grant of the Ministry of Tourism pointed to the strong link between Barbados and the UK from which 39 per cent of our visitors come from.
