The Island Heritage-sponsored Tennis 10s competition takes place at the National Tennis Centre in Wildey, St Michael today.
This is the second of the three planned tournaments of this nature organized by the Barbados Tennis Association and it starts at 10 a.m.
The International Tennis Federation recommends that players aged ten and under should not train or play competition with a regular yellow ball on a full-size court, but instead train and compete with a red, orange or green ball on the appropriate sized court.
The Barbados Tennis Association said using these slower balls would help players develop the most efficient technique and to implement advanced tactics that in most cases could not be performed using the yellow ball on a full court. (PR)
