As Four Seasons’ developers await funds to kick-start the stalled project, the head of an international property and development consultancy firm is backing Government’s controversial investment in it, saying the administration needs to see it through to the end.
That contention by managing director of BCQS International Liam Day came as another expert in the hospitality industry, Anthony Bowen, told Government to ensure developers can show the money before getting access to large pieces of land and concessions.
Saying that a completed Four Seasons development would be a major boost for Barbados, Day gave full support to Government’s decision to help the struggling project resume.
“It’s a project that I’m sure will be successful when it’s completed because Four Seasons has a brand following. It needs to happen and the Government needs to do whatever it has to do to get it completed,” said Day in an interview with the DAILY?NATION at the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Investment Conference in Puerto Rico. “If that’s the only way to get it finished, it has to be done.”
