Alexandra dispute meeting is on
Ronald Jones, Minister of Education

The meeting of all the major players involved in the Alexandra School dispute is on at the Ministry of Education this morning.
Chairman of the meeting Ronald Jones led the delegation from his ministry into the conference room around 9:37 a.m., where most of the other players including Minister of Labour Dr Esther Byer-Suckoo, Attorney General Adriel Brathwaite and Parliamentary Secretary Harry Husbands.
The meeting was scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m.
Initially, there seemed to be a no show of the Barbados Secondary Teacher's Union but moments ago past president of the union Phil Perry arrived at the ministry.
General Secretary of the National Union of Public Workers Denis Clarke is also present. He was spotted around 8:30 a.m. He was joined shortly after by Chief Labour Officer Vincent Burnett.
Also attending the meeting are Principal of the school Jeff Broomes, executives of the Barbados Association of Principals of Secondary Schools (BAPPS)
The high level meeting is seeking a resolution to the impasse at the Alexandra School.
