A CLOUD OF UNCERTAINTY is hanging over a popular primary school programme that provided extra tutoring to many less fortunate students in the north of the island.
The Alexandra School has pulled the plug on the use of its facilities for the annual Common Entrance Examination classes organized by the Kiwanis Club of Barbados North.
President of the club, Adrian Boyce, a retired educator, confirmed the situation yesterday.
“I checked with the school and was informed that permission has been denied,” Boyce said, adding that he was told “the board [of management] has promised to state why in writing”.
