‘All lose-lose’ for Alexandra

THE PRESIDENT of the National Council of Parent-Teacher Associations (NCPTA) is warning that there will be no winners in the ongoing Alexandra School saga, regardless of how it’s settled.
Rhonda Blackman believes it will be difficult, if not impossible, for all those involved to work together when the dust has settled.
Her comments come as the Barbados Secondary Teachers’ Union (BSTU) remains adamant that principal Jeff Broomes must leave, while Broomes is just as unbending in his position. Prime Minister Freundel Stuart is attempting to settle the issue.
“I cannot see how the parties can go back into the environment and coexist harmoniously,” said Blackman, a former Alexandra School student, in an interview with the SUNDAY SUN.
