PERSISTENT RAIN over the past two days has forced the Ministry of Education to close all schools today.

In an announcement early this morning, the Ministry of Education declared that all private and public schools will be closed today. As a result, thousands of secondary and primary school students will start classes for the week tomorrow.

The island has been affected by a weather system which has dumped several inches of water on the country. The rains are expected to continue until Wednesday. (GE)
