The smell of paint, the sounds of banging and yelling voices at Bushy Park, St Philip, had nothing to do with racing cars.
Workmen, under the watchful eyes of Crop Over producer Dorsie Boyce, were busy setting up the stage for what promises to be a spectacular Soca Royale tomorrow.
“For the first time the artistes will be having a grand rehearsal with a full run-through of dancers and props so as to iron out any kinks for tomorrow,” Boyce said.
That grand rehearsal took place yesterday from 5 p.m.
Assistant Superintendent Bruce Rowe, who is in charge of security, said he hoped patrons coming out to have a good time would comply with all regulations and help his team ensure their safety. (NSH)
