THE MAN CHARGED WITH SETTING FIRE to the housing unit where he lived with his grandmother has been sent to the Psychiatric Hospital.

Twenty-five-year-old Dario Terrell Foster of 99D Eden Lodge was not required to plead to the indictable charge after it was read to him by Magistrate Douglas Frederick.

He is charged with setting the fire on Monday which destroyed the unit he shared with grandmother Ilene Foster and damaged those directly adjacent.

Sergeant Neville Watson told the magistrate Foster had a “history” and recommended evaluation at the Black Rock institution.

Magistrate Frederick remanded Foster to the Psychiatric Hospital for observation. The report should be read on October 15 when Foster returns to court.

Foster told the court he had been to the Psychiatric Hospital before.
