Art and food

The theme was Beautiful Cultural Food and chefs were asked to go outside the box in creatively presenting their dishes. And they didn’t disappoint with the cakes, pasta, pastries, different takes on burgers and drinks such as smoothies and shakes and even beet juice.

The occasion was the recent Kingdom Arts Visual and Culinary Experience, part of the week-long activities put on by Kingdom Arts.

Sabrina Greenidge, public relations officer for the organisation, told EASY that not only was food on display but also art, with over ten artists showing their work.

“We wanted to include food and art because there are all types of arts in Barbados . . . . Everything comes from God and there is beauty in these things.”

The event was held at Pelican Craft Village and Greenidge said next year they will take the fashion show which was done separately, and combine it as food, arts and fashion. (NS)
