Aston Martin lived up to his pre-race favourite billing, predictably winning the 62nd Barbados Guineas at the Garrison Savannah yesterday.

Smartly ridden by champion jockey Anderson Trotman, the colt slammed the field in the 1 570-metre Grade 1 feature event for West Indian-bred three-year-old horses to capture the first leg of the Barbados Triple Crown. (EZS)
