An agreement has been reached between Trinidad and Barbados – not about fishing, but music.
Reggae artiste ViZion has linked up with a group of Trinidadian reggae artistes to promote the Kush riddim in Barbados.
Why has Barbados been chosen for the first leg of the tour, especially given the fact that ViZion is the only Barbadian?
The decision was made after the management of PengCo Music, the forces behind the riddim, saw ViZion perform.
Artist relations manager Aaron Reason said: “ViZion has the correct combination of factors to make him an internationally saleable product. In addition, he is already well known in Barbados as he has been on the scene since 2006.”
After the Barbados launch, the Kush riddim will be released after the Trinidad and Tobago Carnival.
The Barbados trip will take place within the next few weeks and will comprise visits to radio stations and CBC TV8, as well as public appearances by the artistes on the Kush riddim: Matthew Greenidge, Prodege, Aaron Marquez, Uzman, Kazee and, of course, ViZion. (PR)
