THE JUDGES THOUGHT they were the best of the lot, while some in the crowd disagreed.
But only eight can go through to the finals of the Banks Calendar Girl 2015 and those were Robin-Simone Ifill, Shanae Alleyne, Cherene Ward, Thea Tull, Renee Robinson, Rhea Arthur, Brandi Wallace and Tia Sealy.
The semi-finals were held last night at Oistins Bay Garden before a large crowd; but not many of the 16 semi-finalists had supporters as the silence was deafening when some did their walk on stage.
This year the swimsuits were tasteful, a quantum leap from the fiasco of last year, and it could be seen that each contestant put effort into their creation.
For the semi-finals, the judges had to be looking for beauty and body as none of the girls had to speak, just walk and pose.
The judges table got extra looks as the majority of the girls went to the table to smile and twirl.
The finals are slated for December 4 and some of the girls should take this opportunity to work on their walk, confidence and body, to tighten up those areas that could cost them some points on the big night. (NS)
