CONTRACTOR AL BARRACK has postponed his original plan to check his bank account today for a $5 million cash deposit from Government.
He told the NATION minutes ago he will visit the bank on Friday when he expects not only today’s promised deposit but the just over $2 million remainder of a $7 million commitment from Government.
“I will leave everything until Friday,” he said.
According to him, that was the arrangement made by Finance Minister Chris Sinckler during a telephone conversation on Monday.
Barrack had padlocked the Warrens Office Complex building on Monday, shutting out scores of Government workers from over 15 ministries and departments.
He took the action in protest of not receiving just over $7 million owed to him by Government, part of an overall $73 odd million debt for the multi-storey Warrens building. (TS)
