Tue, October 02, 2012 - 11:00 AM
SMALL BUSINESSES’ CONTRIBUTION to Barbados’ economic well-being came into focus last week as the Small Business Association hosted its annual Small Business Week.
Activities included a thanksgiving concert, youth forum, seminar, and a Twenty20 cricket match along with an awards ceremony and dinner.
Also on the agenda was the fifth annual Leo Leacock Memorial Lecture which took place at the Errol Barrow Centre For Creative Imagination on Tuesday.
It was delivered by First Citizens Bank deputy chief executive officer Sharon Christopher, who stressed that small businesses have the ability to help the region with many of its challenges. (NB)
