NO RIDING ALLOWED!
The Forward into the Future Parade, which was intended to be a motorcade with motorbikes and special cars, failed to get off the ground after police prohibited the Black Knight Riders from proceeding.
They were stopped at Lower Broad Street, close to the RBTT Bank. A senior police officer told members of the media there was a problem with the way the license plates were displayed on the vehicles. He added that the Black Knight Riders had been warned on two previous occasions, but the necessary changes were yet to be made.
The Freekz Customz fleet of vehicles was allowed to proceed.
Representative from the Black Knight Riders did not comment on the situation.
This was one of the many activities for the inaugural Republic Bank City Fest and Ceremonial Delivery of the Last Canes yesterday in Bridgetown. (LW)
