Bristol Rangers spot on

Bristol Rangers are the winners of the Arleen Hinds Memorial Vintage Netball Tournament.
They won all four of their matches to finish with 20 points, ahead of Brydens Masters (14), Phoenix Golden Stars (12), hosts United Athletic Club (ten) and Golden Delight (BICO), who managed just three points.
The shooting competition was won by Bristol Rangers, whose three shooters – Marion Johnson-Hurley, Sandra Bruce-Small and Heather Belle – scored a total of 121 goals from 165 attempts in nine minutes.
Second were United Athletic Club (UAC) with a total of 108 goals from 151 shots by shooters Janita Austin, Denese Morgan and Beverley Marsh.
Golden Delight (Deborah Kellman, Joan Waldron and Sharon Murray) and Phoenix Golden Stars (Michelle Maynard, Sandra Maynard and Dianne Harper) tied for third place with 101 goals each from 156 and 157 attempts, respectively, also in nine minutes.
Brydens Masters, who had just two shooters in Cheryl Edwards and Adonna Griffith, were fifth with 67 goals from 107 attempts in six minutes.
The individual winner of the shooting competition was Heather Belle of Bristol Rangers with 45 goals from 56 attempts.
The tournament formed part of United Athletic Club’s 45th anniversary celebrations, which will continue with a luncheon at Accra Beach Hotel today and climax with a sports day in Queen’s Park on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (EZS)
