Embattled Alexandra School principal, Jeff Broomes. (FP)

Embattled Alexandra School principal Jeff Broomes yesterday defended the authenticity of a letter published in the last SUNDAY SUN.
The correspondence relates to the ongoing teachers’ impasse at the Alexandra School, and Broomes said the letter was hand-delivered to officials in the Registry at the Ministry of Education.
“I don’t know what happened after it got there, but this is the third piece of correspondence that I’ve had to re-submit which they say they cannot find,” Broomes told the MIDWEEK NATION.
He said the other two letters related to payments made for summer school and the school position behavioural programme.

It seems to me that the Ministry has a hand in this Alexandra School impasse,an it smacks of a Government Department that is being run Helter Skelter.there must be some way in this 21st Century, that a letter hand delivered should have been signed for and entered in a register time and date and then delivered to the appropriate person by the person who signed for it(No Rocket Science here)
my message to anyone dealing with a Government Dept. Send your Letter REGISTERED this method automatically needs a LEGIBLE Signature and time by the Post Office. MInister Jones Please do something about how Correspondence is Handled in Your Ministry, or you WILL have more IMPASSES like this one in the future. Three Letters RESENT is THREE too many
