Only 100 people?? EVERY teacher in Barbados should have been there. It could have been anyone of them taken from their jobs and transferred to a post they may not be able qualified for.

We heard on CBC tv last night about the possible withdrawal of labour and strike action. This union needs to be sent a strong message...this is way past ridiculous! I would sit back and let them strike for as long as they want while ensuring that temporary teachers are in place. The problem started on the last occasion when they went on strike AND WERE PAID!

According to Niccolo Machiavelli, “The wish to acquire more is admittedly a very natural and common thing; and when men succeed in this they are always praised rather than condemned. But when they lack the ability to do so and yet want to acquire more at all costs, they deserve condemnation for their mistakes.”
