Minister of Education Ronald Jones is still meeting with the Barbados Secondary Teacher’s Union (BSTU) at the ministry’s office on Constitution Road, St Michael.
The Nation’s Mike King who is on the spot, reports that Jones, along with his newly appointed Chief Education Officer Laurie King and Permanent Secretary Bruce Alleyne are still in the meeting with the BSTU and teachers this evening.
Just over two dozen teachers, led by union president Mary Redman arrived at ministry for the 2 p.m. meeting.
There is still no word on the outcome.
Yesterday, Jones invited the BSTU to his office in an effort to resolve the Alexandra School impasse.
