BWA pushing ahead with laying of mains

AN EFFORT to increase the water flow to the taps of thousands of Barbadians is continuing with the laying of the mains water pipeline extension project.

The team from Rayside Construction Company was busy digging a trench to lay a 12-inch main as part of the project being undertaken by the Barbados Water Authority.

Mike Williams of C.O.Williams Construction said the project consists of the laying of three new pipelines to improve its water supply for the parishes of St Philip and Christ Church.

When a Nation team visited the Graeme Hall, Christ Church area recently workmen from Rayside were busy putting down the poly blue water main and work is set to continue onto Maxwell Top Road, Christ Church. It is scheduled to be completed before the end of the year. (LK)
