Every politician hoping to run on a Barbados Labour Party (BLP) ticket in the next general election will have to go through the party’s constitutional process of being nominated and winning an election at the branch level.

Why is it that SUDDENLY the RULES are being strictly applied? I cant remember when these RULES were ever applied in the past ,so why SUDDENLY now? is it because The Leader needs a Safe Constituency for a Particular person to Run in?????? PLEASE don’t do What The DLP did in Christ Church with Mr. Abed. Because The Party ruled the Roost in a Riding for a long time, it does not mean that Parachuting some one else into that riding will be successful for you, so be careful, if this is the intention it might turn out to be counter productive.
