CARIFTA ready

Fresh from a good outing at the Falcon Games last weekend in Trinidad and Tobago, several members of the CARIFTA Games team assembled at Combermere School yesterday evening.
The athletes concentrated mostly on jogging and stretching after the two days of competition.  Hurdlers Kion Joseph and Shakera Hall did light drills and sprinters Mario Burke and Levi Cadogan did a few starts.
Assistant coaches worked with their specific groups, head coach Bryan Holder kept an eye on the athletes, and manager Maureen Dottin was busy getting last-minute details ironed out.
Team gear was scheduled to be distributed at last night’s meeting as the first set of athletes will be departing today for The Bahamas.
