Chief Justice visits CCJ

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad – The Chief Justice of Barbados, Justice Marston Gibson, is leading a delegation to Trinidad for a study visit of the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) and the Trinidad and Tobago judiciary.
A CCJ statement said tha the Chief Justice and his staff “were involved in various training exercises to learn more about CCJ processes and case management information systems, among other things”.
It said that he also met with the newly appointed CCJ president Justice Dennis Byron and with other judges as well as the Court Administration Leadership Team “on the implementation of several judicial reform initiatives”.
The statement said that Chief Justice Gibson will be visiting the Judiciary of Trinidad and Tobago next week “where he will be spending time in the Registry of the Supreme Court to observe their processes, and to meet with the judges and court administrators to further the discussions on Judicial Reform”.
