I agree with Free thinker, I saw this on you tube, but how do we know if the man is guilty of a criminal offence. The term ‘innocent until proven guilty’ comes to mind.  If he is innocent then his face will be forever known and he will not be left in peace which is similar to the UK when they plaster men faces over the media, who have been accused of rape and then it is found that the women have lied as they did not want people to know that they had sex with them in unsavory circumstances.

I second Lazerlight comment! The video I saw it on FB, and the citizens were beating the crap out of him! Now if he is innocent, will charges be brought to those who took matters into their own hands?

Barbadians beware vigilantism. The de-individuation that occurs in these mob settings is dangerous to all in society. Barbadians have always stood above this level of behaviour. Lets not commence the journey down this slippery slope to self-destruction!

I do remember not long ago, this was the type of “JUSTICE” that was carried out on the streets of Selma, Alabama. Indigent and different looking people were usually picked up on the streets and even in their homes; summarily accused and beaten by mobs, (THE CITIZENS POLICE) jailed and sometimes hanged for crimes that they were innocent of.  Is this the image of JUSTICE that we want in Barbados? When we are all through laughing and joking about this ugly incident , let us try to determine if this MAN tied with ropes at a street corner in an Independent Barbados in the year 2010; is GUILTY or INNOCENT of a crime. If NOT, we are all going to be on trial for our INHUMANE BEHAVIOR.
