Chief Justice Sir Marston Gibson says he intends to take action on the widely reported incident involving a High Court judge and a Queen’s Counsel that provoked the ire of the legal fraternity.
But he cautions he will only move on the matter “after I am fully briefed as to what happened”.
The legal fraternity reacted with consternation last week when reports surfaced that Alair Shepherd, QC, had lifted his robes and uttered a profanity to Justice Dr Sonia Richards in the corridor of her chambers.
The outburst took place during a case involving 13 members of the Royal Barbados Police Force (RBPF) who are challenging last year’s promotions list issued by the Police Services Commission.
