JUST OVER 3 700 students will write the Barbados Secondary Schools’ Entrance Examination or 11-Plus at 22 Secondary Schools across the island tomorrow.
Of the 3 728 students registered, 1 870 are males and 1 858 females. Nine of those students were granted permission to write the exam at age ten, compared to the 14 last year.
Schools across the island were engaged in various activities on the eve of the exam. From the North to the South and from the East to the West, students were either doing final revision or “light” activities like word bingo.
Some students at Lawrence T Gay were even seen saying the tables the old-time way, where multiplication and division were done simultaneously. (YB)
