NINETEEN-YEAR-OLD SADE ARTHUR loves the flexibility that working at a local entertainment company gives her.
“I love to dance and I do that most weekends; my job allows for that,” said Sade, who has been dancing with the Barbados Dance Theatre since she was a child.
Whether it is dancehall, jazz or pop or even a splash of belly dancing, Sade is game for it.
“I dance every weekend because I love it. I express myself better through dance. I am also an artist and I just find it easier to express my feelings through my art, both painting and dancing. When I put together a routine it is easier for people to understand my emotions,” she said.
Currently employed as personal assistant to entertainment maven Joyann Skeete of Diamond Entertainment, Sade says her job allows her to meet people in different fields.
It also allows her the freedom to study so that she can pursue her degree in criminal investigation.
“I have a love for crime,” she says, adding with a laugh, “Not as the perp, though. I want to study criminal investigation. I can see myself having a job in law enforcement.”
