THAT’S TWO in a row now for Barbados’ No. 1.

Top-ranked tennis pro Darian King couldn’t be any more ready for Davis Cup action, having won the HDI Gerling Rotterdam Open final in Holland following yesterday’s 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 win over Julien Obry of France.

The victory sealed a second straight singles championship for the world No. 377, who was but a week removed from winning the F11 Futures title in Romania to attain his career-best world ranking.

King is slated to return home in a couple days to lead Barbados in their first ever Davis Cup  Group II final against Mexico from September 12 to 14 at the National Tennis Centre.
