DEAR CHRISTINE: Wife tempted by new eye candy

Share post:

Dear Christine,
I am very drawn to a man who works in the same company as I do and this is worrying me because I am married and have been for the past five years. This man joined the company four months ago.
My husband and I also have a great relationship and a one-year-old son we both love dearly.
My husband has been my only lover as we’ve known each other from schooldays. When we got married, I was still a virgin.
Christine, I have never found any other man to be a temptation except this young man. We hardly have to communicate with each other because we work in different departments, but whenever I see him I get very weak and nervous.
While he is not aware of my feelings, how can I love my husband and still have these feelings for this man?
I need to hear from you soon as I am hoping you will shed some light on my situation.

Dear DB,
As I mentioned to the other writer on this page, marriage does not mean you will not be tempted and have feelings for another man, but it is what you do with these temptations when they come. Will you give in or stand firm?
In fact, there is a trend of thought that people who are married face many temptations. You need not give in to them.
If you truly care for and love your husband, your current situation need not get out of hand. In fact, I plead with you not to do anything to hurt your husband and your marriage.
Also bear in mind that although you may have feelings for this man, he may not, in any way, have feelings for you.
– CHRISTINE
